(I don't recommend doing this unless you are handy) The spring that keeps the whammy in the up position is hooked to a very thin plastic piece. I didn't really play GH that often and the whammy broke after three weeks. Fortunately I was able to open the guitar and do a make-shift fix. Not engineered very well. But after I fixed it there's been no other problems so far.
It occasionally freezes up if you hit the strum bar really hard (like most beginers do). It registers very well and works good for gh3. It doesn't work on gh1 or 2 but is very good for gh3. I was able to 5 star through the fire and flames, all of the dragonforce pack, and the devil went down to georgia on expert without a problem. This guitar is well worth the price because the cord (which is 8 feet 2 inches) provides a lag free experiance.
The guitar is very nice, but the parts start to break very soon. I bought two of these and around the same time the whammy bar broke.
This guitar is cheap and works for a little bit and seems like it would be a good guitar, DON'T GET IT. As soon as you touch it you can tell it was VERY cheaply made and will break in a second, the wammy bar broke for me, then star power broke for me and then it just stopped working because the strumming bar broke. The strum bar is cheap little plastic painted silver that you can tell WILL break
The responsiveness is great, way better than the one that comes with the game. I got it since I have small fingers but the frets are still too large for me. the cord is pretty short so have to be close to the tv and it freezes.stops responding so I have to unplug it and replug it. This stinks when you are playing a song and are near the end and that happens. My pinky barely reaches the blue button let alone the orange. I still recommend it though due to the great responsiveness and quality.
